Initiative is related to bias to action. Included in it is the willingness to forego one opportunity for another.

Risk Taking

Risk taking is anything that you do which may fail or involves danger. It is often a prerequisite for innovation.

Curiosity

Curiosity may kill cats, but it also gives birth to innovation. Curiosity is the desire to know something. Innovators are curious learners.

Flexibility

Flexibility is how willing you are to adjust to new ideas, people, and experiences. Many of the attributes here, from collaboration to initiative to risk taking, require flexibility.

Creativity

Creativity is the ability to generate new concepts, mix existing concepts into something new, and challenge conventions. It is probably the most common way to think about innovation.

Collaboration

Collaboration creates synergies and capacities that might not otherwise exist. It is a basic building block for innovation aimed at tackling large scale, systematic problems.
